Our Center’s Board members are heartbroken at the loss of their friend and co-worker Richard Stone. He died last Tuesday, August 7th after being quite unwell for many months.
The memorial service will be on Sunday, August 26th at 4 p.m. at the 1st Congregational Church (Big Red Church) 2131 N. Van Ness Blvd.
Richard worked closely with a number of organizations and there will be an opportunity for their representatives as well as his friends to speak at the memorial. Afterwards there will be refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a table set up in the hall with an assortment of mementos of Richard’s. If they want, people are free to bring whatever they would like to put on the table to share.
Avigdar is asking that instead or flowers or plants, people can make a donation to the Fresno Center for Nonviolence in memory of Richard.
