Below please find the link to our Center for Nonviolence “Stir It Up” radio show on KFCF 88.1 FM yesterday, May 9th.   Angela Price’s guest was John LaForge and they spoke about a number of issues on nuclear weapons including the 1.7 trillion “modernization “ (a euphemism for developing new nuclear weapons) and the comparison of the fallout from Chernobyl nuclear power disaster and that of Fukushima in Japan.  John LaForge has worked on the staff of Nukewatch, a nuclear watchdog and environmental justice group in Wisconsin, since 1992 and edits its Quarterly newsletter. He is a regular contributor to Counterpunch, and Peacevoice.org. He has testified before British and Dutch parliamentarians on the outlaw status of depleted uranium weapons, and his analysis of the unlawful nature of DU munitions was published in The Trojan Horses of Nuclear War, edited by Marion KÜpker and Dave Kraft (Hamburg, 2003.  You can find copies of The Nukewatch Quarterly newsletter at the Center
