The Sins of Sor Juana, at NEAR/FAR THEATRE

Contemporary playwright Karen Zacarias’ play exploring the poetry and passions of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, set to the backdrop of the worlds she lived in, the Church and Court of 17th century colonial Mexico.

WITH: Karen Vargas (as Juana), Daniel Serrano (Silvio), Edgar Olivera (Padre Nunez/Viceroy), Maria Monreal (Sor Sara/Vicereine), Marrissa Lopez (Sor Filothea/Xochitl), Daniel Longoria (Pedro), Viri Hussein-Leon (Novice)

With Original Music by Fresno composer EJ Hinojosa
