Celebration of African-American culture, heritage and pride. Festivities include a parade, local performances, inspirational speakers and workshops, and games and entertainment to satisfy all age groups. Variety of food that represents African-American culture.
Juneteenth is an African-American holiday that commemorates the notification of the Emancipation Proclamation to the State of Texas on June 19, 1865. The theme this year is “Reclaiming Our Time”.
