Synopsis
The 15th Annual Fresno Film Festival, presented by Fresno Filmworks at the historic Tower Theatre, will feature seven exclusive programs of feature-length and local award-winning short films, including special filmmaker appearances and Q&A discussions. The festival is made possible by the generosity of many community sponsors and current Filmworks members.

Tickets for individual programs cost $10 general and $8 for students and seniors; festival passes cost $45. Tickets and passes can be purchased online and at the Tower Theatre box office, 815 E. Olive Ave. Assistive listening services are not available for these films.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2019

PROGRAM #1 — 7 p.m.
Sir
Two contrasting worlds coexist in a single apartment in Mumbai, amidst a forbidden attraction that questions social class.
With opening night champagne reception to follow.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2019

PROGRAM #2 — 1 p.m.
Ms. Purple
A poignant look at the mending and reconnection of Korean American siblings in the final days of their father’s life.

PROGRAM #3 — 4 p.m.
Balloon
Based on a true story, two families in communist East Germany race to escape to the West by secretly building an air balloon.

PROGRAM #4 — 7:30 p.m.
Princess of the Row
A tale of a father and daughter on L.A.’s Skid Row, where monsters are real and the only true weapon is the love of family.
Featuring a Q&A with filmmakers A. Shawn Austin and Tayler Buck.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2019

PROGRAM #5 — 1 p.m.
Shorts Program
Free Admission. Five films with Central Valley connections: “The Blessing and the Curse” and “Red Watch” by David Kennedy; “Pink” by Annie Villalobos; “The Clinic” by Elivia Shaw; and “What Ana Knew” by Zoë Smurr.
Featuring a Q&A with local filmmakers.

PROGRAM #6 — 4 p.m.
The Girl in the Fog
An enigmatic detective searches for a missing girl and unearths mysterious secrets in a small village in the Italian Alps.

PROGRAM #7 — 7:30 p.m.
Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins
Political documentary celebrates the fearless media firebrand and celebrated columnist known for her Texas-sized wit.
