Saturday, March 9th from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Fresno Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. Van Ness Ave (SE corner McKinley and Van Ness), the Fresno Chapter of Veterans for Peace will present a workshop put on by Alfredo Figueroa from U.C. Berkeley and the Monterey chapter of Veterans for Peace entitled “Leave No One Behind”. The deportation of veterans has been going on for decades within the immigrant soldier community. This workshop offers a space to critically analyze the current climate for deported veterans, inform about policies impacting immigrant soldiers, and build tangible solutions in order for us to stand in solidarity.
