As promised, we had a great celebration of our 23rd Anniversary on Saturday, with lovely singing by Avigdar accompanied by Jean Hays, a delicious potluck and a silent auction with lots of bidding going on! There will be more photos by Richard Iyall but, for now, my son took the attached photo of our Way of Peace Awardees, Teresa Castillo, Chris Breedlove and FIYA members Brisa Cruz, Gelasio Rodriguez, Eleazar Valdez and David Martinez. No doubt you are concerned that Connie Young seems to have changed quite a bit – not to worry, her good friend Bruce Ratcliffe very kindly but in a rather unexpected way, accepted the award on her behalf. (I’ve sent the photo to Connie who says “Please don’t tell me I actually look like that!).
