Wednesday, November 8 “Stir it up” at 3-3:30 p.m. on KFCF 88.1, Our Center’s monthly radio show will be hosted by Joshua Shurley. His guest and the topic of the show to be announced later. This is a call-in show so if you have questions call 559-266-8888.

Saturday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m. As part of the Fresno Filmworks Festival our Center for Nonviolence is sponsoring the film “In Syria”, winner of the Panorama Audience Award at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival. Philippe Van Leeuw’s evocative and visceral depiction of modern day Damascus finds Oum Yazan, a mother of three, barricaded at home with her family above the ensuing war zone in the streets. Forced to find refuge amidst the destruction, “In Syria” provides an acute and honest portrayal of the reality of war, the nature of humanity and the struggle for survival. Starring Hiam Abbass, Diamand Bou Abboud and Juliette Navis. Presented with English subtitles. The film is 85 minutes long. Tickets are $10.00 and $8.00 for seniors and students.
