FCNV Spring 2020 Appeal Letter

FCNV Spring 2020 Appeal Letter

Dear Friends of the Center:  First, we hope everyone is safe and healthy;  this is an anxious time for us all.  If you have family members or friends who are on the front lines – in the health field, grocery store and restaurant workers etc., we worry about them as well.

In April, we sent out our Spring Appeal to both those for whom we have addresses, and to those on this list-serv.  We have been encouraged by a very good response from the community though, as I expected I suppose, fewer donations than usual.  We are still paying two independent contractors who help us with website, Community Alliance page and, of course, our rent and utilities.  So, I’m worried!  I am attaching the Spring Appeal letter for you to reread.  Two changes in it – our webpage is up and running well – we have a new webmaster!  And we’ve postponed our 28th Anniversary to July 11th

If you were planning to send us a donation, may I ask that you send it soon?!  Remember, even though perhaps you cannot afford quite as much as usual, every bit helps.  You can do this by check, of course, but you can also donate by credit card by logging on to our website – www.centerfornonviolence.org or click on the donate button to the left.

Our Center is still temporarily closed, but we check mail and messages left on the phone regularly.  Our Board will be meeting by Zoom again at the beginning of June and will decide then when we think it’ll be safe to reopen.

Again, stay safe and look after each other.
