Saturday, April 7th from  7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cambridge Avenue Block Sale Our Center for Nonviolence is once again participating in this sale thanks to the kindness of Joan Hughes who is allowing us to use her front yard at 704 Cambridge Ave.   Help support the Center financially by coming and buying from the many attractive items we’ll have for sale.   Call us at 559-237-3223 from 11-3 Mon-Fri if you have any items you wish to donate.

 Wednesday,  April 11th at 3 to 3:30 p.m. Our Center for Nonviolence monthly radio show on KFCF 88.1 will be hosted by Angela Price. Her guest will be Dr. Sudarshan Kapoor and they’ll be discussing gun violence, particularly in the schools. This is a call-in show so if you have questions call 559-266-8888.

Thursday, April 19th at 1 p.m. a film showing of “The Occupation of the American Mind”. This will be shown at our Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. Van Ness Ave (SE corner Van Ness and McKinley).  Narrated by Roger Waters and featuring leading observers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and U.S. media culture, the film explores how the Israeli government, the U.S. government and the pro-Israel lobby have joined forces, often with very different motives to shape American media coverage of the conflict in Israel’s favor.  Run time:  84 minutes.  We will be using our new Smart T. Sunday, April 22nd from 1 to 5 p.m. “Open House” the Center for Nonviolence at 1584 N. Van Ness Ave. (SE corner Van Ness and McKinley)  Please come and celebrate with the Center as they show off their newly renovated facility.
