After a late start because of the beautiful rain, we set up our Center booth with the help of Gerry, Ron and Gioia.  We had no trouble attracting kids (and adults!) to our coloring a butterfly project – and what great butterfly artists emerged.  The reward was a packet of milkweed seeds to plant in their gardens and education about the plight of the Monarch butterfly.  A big thank you to Kay Pitts for painting butterflies on the corners of 20 poster boards and for all the work that Gioia did on this activity.  We plan to put the artwork up at our 23rd Anniversary on June 20th!

I took lots of  photos of butterfly artists and plan to put them all on our website somehow.  Facebook too.  Stay tuned.

We still have quite a few packets of milkweed seeds left – so if you want some, let us know.
