Film “Ghosts of Jeju” Wednesday, March 12th

Next Wednesday, March 12, at 12 noon and again at 7 p.m., the Center for Nonviolence  will be showing The Ghost of Jeju, a shocking documentary about the struggle of the people of Jeju Island, S. Korea. Set in the context of the American presence in Korea after World War II, the film reveals horrible atrocities at the hands of the U.S. Military Government of Korea. March calendar with exciting update!

Here is our March  calendar again with the exciting update I sent recently and that is that the director of the film Ghosts of Jeju, Regis Tremblay, together with the Korean activist and musician Rosik Park, will be attending our 2nd Wednesday showings of this film on March 12 at the Center for Nonviolence.   Rosik is the one who has circulated a petition to Pope Francis to visit Jeju when he is in Korea in August.   They will be at both showings of the film and Rosik will play for us during the potluck at 6:30.  Since this . . . → Read More: March calendar with exciting update!
